SUNDAY 11TH MAY 2008 AT NEWLANDS PARK, BISHOP'S CLEEVE. 'A Family Day Out' Gloucestershire RFU, working through Cheltenham Rugby Club, has been pleased to attract this National event to the County. It is a competition played at County level and will attract teams and supporters from across the UK. Cheltenham Rugby Club are hosting the event at Newlands Park, which is its newly acquired training and sports ground. The 19 acre site, recently purchased from Smiths Industries, secures the future for its Minis & Juniors Section, the life blood of the Club, whilst the 1st XV continues to play at the Prince of Wales Stadium. Locating this prestigious tournament in the County gives recognition to the strength of rugby in Gloucestershire and enables us to promote the sporting, environmental and economic stature of the area. This exciting event commences at 11 am and continues until 6pm. Whilst the tournament will provide the main focus of the activity there will be a Gloucestershire theme to a community day surrounding it and ensuring entertainment for all the family. We are
delighted to anounce Gloucestershire
Primary Care Trust as a main sponsor of this years event. |
