UNITED NEWS FROM ARCHIE - The time has come to dust of your boots and start touch training before pre season starts in a week or so time. We need to start pre season with a bang with hard work and the right mental attitude. Last season in my eyes we could of won more games if we had the fitness to finish teams off.

Men this is down to our own inner will to succeed. So lets get hold of as many of our mates and work harder than ever in the forth comming weeks !

End of Season Award Review - Click here to review all of this years winners

The end of another season, overall as a club, I would say one of the most successful. Newlands is starting to develop and meet our needs, we still have a lot of work to do and have some ambitious plans in the pipeline over the next few years. Two local cups for the Seniors, although finishing 3rd in the league was disappointing, we will all look back to the first game of the season and hope next year players will organise their holidays etc accordingly.

Mini's and juniors continue to improve both in numbers and quality of play. 4 County Cup winners, a semi finalist, 2 quarter finalists and many matches against teams performing at a National level.

Probably the most encouraging aspect is that many juniors are starting to feed into the senior set up, Chris Surman (18) being a regular first team player this season, with Henry Tapsell(18) and Callum Kerr (17) respectively making first team debut's in the last few weeks, we will be looking for more of their colleagues to attend pre- season and challenge for places in the senior teams.

Our community-based initiatives have led to the landscaping and screening of sites to minimise and even enhance visual impact

At Grundon we're committed to a long-term programme of community involvement across our operating area. We're particularly pleased to continue our support for Newlands Park, as it's not only an excellent sports facility but also has great potential as a multi-purpose centre that will be of great benefit to the local community

Kevin Brewer
Marketing Manager - Grundon Waste Management Ltd

We are delighted that Grundon have decided to continue their ground sponsorship of the club and Newlands. Anyone passing the facility cannot help but notice the huge improvement of the grass pitches. The funding provided by this local business helps us to invest in the facilities playing surfaces that are now the envy of many sports teams in the area. Steve Ratcliffe - Chairman - Cheltenham Rugby Club

Programme / Ground Advertising

We intend to provide a more professional programme this season which will be printed for all First team matches, ladies matches and Mini and Junior festivals, the circulation will be large with several thousand copies produced. We need to encourage all those associated with the club, running and involved in businesses to take part.

Details of costs, art work requirements and time scales are available from info@cheltenhamtigers.com. Same principal for advertising boards, Prince of Wales is self explanatory; we are researching the planning requirements for Newlands for when we get sufficient interest.
